)A <br />W .r <br />ORDINANCE NO. 204 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS AMENDING SECTIONS <br />OF THE LOS ALTOS HILLS MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE POWERS AND <br />DUTIES OF THE CITY MANAGER. <br />SECTION 1. Code Amended. <br />The following sections of the Los Altos Hills Municipal <br />Code are hereby amended to read as follows: <br />"Sec. 2-3.214. Powers and duties: Authority over employees. <br />It shall be the duty of the City Manager and he shall <br />have the authority to control, order, and give directions <br />to all heads of departments and to subordinate officers <br />and employees of the Town under his jurisdiction through <br />their department heads; provided, however, such authority <br />shall not extend to, or apply to, the City Attorney or <br />elected officers of the Town and their employed staffs. <br />"Sec. 2-3.215. Powers and duties: Appointment, removal, <br />promotion, and demotion of employees. <br />It shall be the duty of the City Manager to appoint, <br />remove, promote, and demote all officers and employees of <br />the Town, except the City Attorney and City Treasurer, <br />subject to the provisions of any personnel regulations <br />of the Town and personnel rules and regulations adopted <br />pursuant thereto." <br />SECTION 2. Adoption, Posting, Effective Date. <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to Section 50022.1 <br />et seq. of the Government Code, following noticed public hearing. <br />It shall be posted in three (3) public places within the Town and <br />shall become effective thirty (30) days following its adoption. <br />ROBIN D.
