1 <br />ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS, REDUCING <br />THE SPEED LIMITS FOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ON CERTAIN <br />STREETS AND DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF AN EMERGENCY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The maximum speed limit for vehicular traffic over and <br />upon the following city streets within the Town of Los Altos Hills is <br />hereby set and declared to be 25 miles per hour. The streets so affected are: <br />a) Purissima Avenue between Arastradero Road and Moody Road; <br />b) Concepcion Avenue between W. Fremont Avenue and Purissima Avenue; <br />c) Robleda Avenue between W. Fremont Avenue and Purissima Avenue. <br />Section 2. The speed limits herein provided for are declared to be <br />the maximum safe speed limits for the areas affected, and said limits are <br />set in accordance with an engineering and traffic survey concerning said <br />streets, the results of which were reported on October 6, 1961. <br />Section 3. The City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills hereby <br />determines that a state of emergency exists with regard to the condition of <br />traffic on the aforementioned streets in that the continuance of existing <br />speed limits would constitute a hazard to life and limb and to property, and <br />that the public health, safety and welfare require the action taken by this <br />ordinance. <br />Section 4. This ordinance being an urgency measure shall be posted <br />In three public places and shall be effective immediately upon placing of <br />appropriate signs by the City Manager. <br />The foregoing ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the <br />City Council of the Two of Los Altos Hills held on October, 16, 1961, and <br />was passed and adopted as an emergency measure by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen Clayton, Henley, Sherlock, Mayer Fowle <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Aiken <br />APPROVED: r <br />Mayor <br />` ES <br />LAGGli1G B FAl9q ' <br />City <br />
