M. by Mayor John M. Fowle at the <br /> Town Hall, 26379 West Fremont Ave. , Los Altos Hills. <br /> ROLL CAL: PRESENT: Councilmen Bledsoe, Clayton, Sherlock, Mayor <br /> Fowle <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Henley <br /> • <br /> MINUTES: September 8th, 1959. <br /> Corrections: Page 1: Whitcomb. Gladys A. - '.CTION: Should <br /> read, " . that Standard Town Paths be con- <br /> structed in the :rastradero right-of-way. " <br /> Page 2: Los :altos Fire Protection District. <br /> .mend para. 1 to read, " The Mayor stated <br /> that the City of Los Altos is considering <br /> withdrawing from the Los :altos Fire Protection <br /> District due to the recent 'reported' attempt <br /> the Co. Bd. of Supervisors to dissolve the <br /> District in favor of a central district. He <br /> further stated that the City of Los Altos has <br /> 'suggested' that the Town consider withdrawing <br /> from the District, and . . . . <br /> iCTION: <br /> Adopt minutes of September 8th, 1959 as corrected. <br /> COMMUNICLTIONS: <br /> None. <br /> REPORTS: <br /> 1. Fire District - Committee. <br /> Mr. Sidney Ti. Treat, Chairman, stated that the Committee has been <br /> securing data, and would be prepared to present a comprehensive <br /> report within a week or ten days. <br /> The Mayor suggested that a meeting be bald Monday, September 26th <br /> to hear the report of the Committee. <br /> 2. South El Mcnte :venue Re-alignment - Mayor Fowle. <br /> The Mayor reported that the recommendation and map of the proposed <br /> realignment of El Morte avenue has been received from the County <br /> Engineers. The Engineers ' estimated cost of the realignment is <br /> 3440,000 of which the Town's share would be '294,000. <br /> 41, Mayor ?owlet stated that most of the land to be acquired is within <br /> within the Foothill College grounds and the property of Mrs. <br /> William Boggs on Purissima =avenue. Mrs. Boggs was present and <br /> stated that she would protest taking any of her property. <br />
