Treat <br />at 7:45 P.M., Monday, February 189 1957, at Purissima School, <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Bledsoe, Hoefler, Fowle, <br />Rothwell, Mayor Treat, <br />ABSENT: None. <br />CORRESPONDENCE: <br />1. <br />A letter from the County of Santa Clara Health Department <br />was read. It contained several suggestions as to ways <br />of cutting down on letter exchange between departments. <br />The City Council postponed action until the next meeting. <br />bis, <br />2. <br />In the matter of car expenses for the Building <br />%W <br />it was moved by Councilman Fowle, seconded by Councilman <br />Hoefler to pay to Mr. Salfen $65.00 a month for such v,L� <br />expenses and to increase his liability`Ffrom - o <br />100-300, and the Town of Los Altos Hills to carry the <br />additional expense. Carried by the following vote: <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Councilmen Fowle, Bledsoe, Hoefler, <br />Rothwell, Mayor Treat, <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br />3. <br />A letter was received from the League of California <br />Cities inviting all city officials to a dinner meeting <br />to be held at Rickey's on Thursday, March 219 1957. <br />4. <br />The Mayor was instructed to get a new telephone number <br />� Co <br />for the Town Hall, Or REIR0ST c 7'et-�� PWOIVIF' <br />5. <br />A letter was received from the American Association of <br />University Women, informing the Council of the Friends <br />of Library Group to be created in Los Altos. The purpose <br />if to develop a movement for a new library. The meeting <br />is to be an organizational one. The letter was referred <br />to Mr. Monohan. o j *L- ►w ' 9 4. <br />6. <br />A letter from the County of Santa Clara Office of the <br />County Executive was received. As of March 1, 1957 the <br />building inspection of the County will terminate. The <br />letter was referred to Mr. Salfen, Building Inspector. <br />
