CITY COUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />February 4, 1957 <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Sidney W. Treat at <br />7:45 P.M. on February 4, 1957, at the Purissima School. <br />ROLL CALL: PRESENT: Councilmen Raymond 0. Hoefler, Leighton M. <br />Bledsoe, J.M. Fowle, C. Easton Rothwell, <br />Mayor Sidney W. Treat, <br />MINUTES: <br />ABSENT: None, <br />Approved as posted and as sent to the City Council. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />1) A letter was read from the Fire District referring <br />to Mr. Collin's property on Lupin Road. It was <br />brought to the attention of the City Council that <br />Mr. Collins is building in violation of the ordinance <br />and does not have a building permit. The Fire <br />District informed the Council it would not object <br />to building on Lupin Road if same were improved. <br />The matter was referred to the Planning Commission. <br />2) A letter was read from Donald K. Currlin, Santa Clara <br />County Flood Control and Water Conservation District, <br />dated January 24, 1957, requesting Council members <br />to attend a meeting to be held February 8, 1957, <br />10 A.M., First and Rosa Streets, San Jose. This <br />meeting is to discuss coordination between local <br />cities on problems dealing with flood control and <br />water matters. <br />3) A letter was read from the Bay Air Pollution Control <br />District. There will be a hearing at 9:30 A.M., <br />February 6, 1957, at the Health Department at First <br />and Rosa Streets, San Jose. <br />4) David Bates, 758 Everett St., Palo Alta addressed a <br />letter to the City Council stating his dissatisfaction <br />with the Town of Los Altos Hills. There is a storm <br />drain pipe under Magdalena Ave. which empties onto <br />his property and desires to rectify this problem. <br />The matter was referred to the City Attorney. <br />5) A letter was read from Irma C. Goldsmith stating <br />two complaints. First that automobiles do not ive <br />right-of-way to pedestrians and animals (horses, <br />and secondly the nuisance of roaming dogs unaccompanied. <br />
