M <br />CITY OOUNCIL <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br />MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21, 1956 <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:45 P. M., Wednesday, <br />at Purissima School. <br />ROLL CALL: Present - Councilmen Dungan, Fowle, Rothwell, <br />Mayor Treat <br />Absent - Councilman Bledsoe <br />MINUTES: Not read <br />The city clerk read a letter from the California State Auto- <br />mobile Association regarding road signs. Councilman Rothwell <br />suggested posting of weight limit signs. The council then <br />entrusted Mayor Treat, City Clerk Paulman, Chief of Police <br />McKenna and Road Commissioner Hibner to take immediate action <br />to get the signs installed. <br />ROAD SIGNS <br />The council discussed the appointment of a building inspector. BU ILD ING INSPECTOR <br />Mayor Treat authorized the Finance Committee, consisting of <br />Councilmen Rothwell and Fowle, to further investigate the <br />matter of fees and salary, and will be considered at a later <br />date. <br />The city Clerk reported that enough additional names have <br />been validated to qualify the petition. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 33 was presented and read, was moved by <br />Councilman Dungan and seconded by Councilman Fowle that <br />the council reaffirm its belief in Ordinance No. 19 and <br />set January 22, 1957, as the date of the Referendum Elec- <br />tion. after discussion, was carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen Dungan, Fowle, Rothwell, <br />Mayor Treat <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Bledsoe <br />REFERENDUM PETITION <br />RESOL.
