" <br />MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF <br />TOWN OF LOS AL TOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA <br />MAY 23, 1956 <br />An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council was <br />called to order at 7:45 P. M., May 23, 1956, at Purissima School. <br />The following councilmen were present upon roll call: Bledsoe, <br />Dungan and Fowle; absent, Rothwell and Treat. <br />There was a report by Acting Mayor Dungan on Rapid <br />Transit Company coming down the Peninsula. <br />There was a report from Mr. Macabee on Moody Road. <br />A quarry on Central Avenue having recently been opened, sad <br />15 to 20 trucks per hour hauling 20 tons or more over this road <br />in just a short time will demolish it. Mr. Macabee recomended <br />that an ordinance be drawn up for a 5 -ton minimum load and a <br />fine license for overload and a license fee of the quarry of <br />One Hundred Dollars ($100). per year. <br />Mr. Richard Bullis of the Planning Commission explained <br />that the Planning Commission feels that the operation of the <br />Central Avenue qp arry is a non -conforming use. A proposed ordi- <br />nance was read by City Attorney Bullis,who recommended 10,000-1b, <br />gross vehicle load, and also recommended a thorough study be <br />made before any passage. <br />
