MINUTES OF THE COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF <br />TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS, CALIFORNIA <br />MAY 219 1956 <br />An adjourned regular meeting of the City Council was <br />called to order at 7:45 P. M., May 21, 1956, at Purissima School. <br />The followingcouncilmen were present upon roll call: Bledsoe, <br />Dungan, Fowle and Rothwell; absent, Treat. <br />Chief of Police McKenna advised that the contract <br />with the sheriff for policing will be presented at the neat <br />meeting. He also reper ted that State Engineer James Hymen will <br />come to Los Altos Hills the first week in June to reeommend <br />speed limits and stop signs. <br />ORDINANCE NO. 15 was referred to the attorney for <br />alteration. irr" " aA4"1_0) <br />The balance of the meeting was devoted to a study <br />session, the subject being a road contract with Santa Clara <br />County. Present were Mr. Maeabee, Road Commissioner, Mr. Don <br />Hibner and Mr. Rea Gardiner. After considerable discussion, <br />it was recommended that the Town of Los Altos Hills do their <br />own repair work and contract new construction. This committee <br />was asked by the Council to check with Atherton and Campbell <br />as to cost per mile, how many men are employed, how much equip- <br />ment, how much rental equipment, if any, what the amount of <br />
