RESOLUTION NO. 429 A RESOLUTION CALLING FOR SEALED PROPOSALS SEWER ASSESSMENT DISTRICT NO. 3 RESOLVED, by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills, California, that WHEREAS, the said Council did, on the 19th day of June, 1967, adopt its Resolution of Intention No. 399 to order the contruction and installation of sanitary sewer mains, wye branches, risers, manholes and laterals with cast iron manhole and riser frames and covers in said Town, all as more particularly described and set forth in said Resolution of Intention; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Clerk of said Town is hereby directed to post in three public places in said Town, there being no newspaper published in said Town, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for the construction of said improve- ments, and referring to the plans and specifications on file in the office of said Clerk, the said posting to be at least fourteen days prior to the time fixed for opening bids . All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a cashier' s or certified check payable to the order of the Town amounting to ten per cent of the bind, or by a bond in said amount and payable to said Town signed by the bidder and a corporate surety or by the bidder and two sureties who shall justify before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double said amount and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said check shall be forfeited or said bond shall become payable to said Town in case the bidder depositing the same does not, within fifteen days after written notice that the contract has been awarded to him, enter into a contract with the Town.
