411 • RESOLUTION NO . 77 • WHEREAS it is the desire of the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills that improvement of South El Moate Avenue southward from La Loma Drive be completed as soon as possible and WHEREAS there is on deposit in the Subdivision Road Im- provement Fund for this purpose $2400 paid in by Mr. Hugh L. Monahan and $900.9taid in by Mr. Colin Peters , and WHEREAS Mr. Hugh L. Monahan has offered an additional sum of $500 to the City for such purpose and has offered to give to the City his engineering plans for such improvement. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills that the said offers of gifts by Mr. Hugh L. Monahan are accepted and that the City shall proceed with all due diligence to contract , after necessary engineering studies, for improvement to Town Standards of said street as follows : (1) On the north side of said street to a width of nine (9) feet from surveyed centerline of the right-of-way, from its intersection with La' Loma Drive, for such distance as is possible with ex- penditure of $2,900; (2) On the south side of South El Monte, to a width nine (9) feet measured from surveyed centerline of the right-of-way from the intersection with La Loma Drive westward for such distance as is poss- ible with an expenditure of $909.92, making such use of existing pavement as is deemed satisfactory by the City Engineer. Be it further resolved that should contracts for such improvements not be let by December 31st , 1958, said contracts calling for commencement of work by December 31st , 1958, Mr. Monahan' s gifts of $ 00 and engineering plans, accepted by this Resolution shall be returned to him and Be it further resolved that nothing in this Resolution shall be interpreted as affecting in any manner any liability of Mr. Monahan or any other property owner or subdivider for drainage improvements , which are or may become necessary as a result of sub- divisions or road improvements in the area affected.
