RES .,OLUTION • NO. 56 . ., 'WHEREAS, the City Council of the Town of. Los Altos Hills finds that a portion _of • Ascunsion Avenue as hereinafter 'described, whileshown' on early maps of the area as a street, has never . in fact been a street _or thoroughfare or opened or used as such, . nor has any dedication thereof been accepted by said Town of Los•.Altos: Hills, and. , ' - WHEREAS, it is further, found that said way or easement thereof is of no present or; future value to ,the Town of Los Altos Hills- and is un- necessary for present orprospective public,. use; - - NOW, .THEREFORE,. BE IT •RESOLVED, by the City- Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills : ' 1. ' That any dedication, implied .or expressed,' of the- portion of Ascunsion Avenue as hereinafter described in the Town of Los Altos - 'Hills be and the 'same is. hereby rejected; ' - : -2. That any interest .in said. land of the Town -of `Los Altos -Hills is released and disclaimed; ' - - - • ' 3. That the. City Council of . the Town of. Los Altos Hills hereby de- 1.. . , clares that the portion of Ascunsion Avenue - - -as designated on any map on file, or 'recorded with:the- official records of Santa Clara County but non existent asa street orpublic thoroughfare since time immemorial be and the same hereby is , abandoned, . discontinued, ,vacated:.and closed as a publicthoroughfare and public street; . - • - ' ' - 4. .'That the description of the area- so rejected, released, `closed and abandoned asa public street is' a strip of land 20.00 feet in width beinga. portion of Lots .26- and 27 as said Lots are' shown upon that• certain Map entitled, "Map of the Subdivision of. Lot 3 of the Taaffe Partition in Rancho La Purissima Concepcion" ,. which Nap was filed- for recordin the Office of the County Recorderof the County of Santa Clara,: State of Cali- fornia,• on August. 6, 1897 'in' Book 1 of Maps , pages 70 and 71, said strip of - land being- more particularly described as •attached to the original .hereof, and being .located, in the present Torn of Los Altos:"•Hills. - The foregoing Resolution wasduly- adopted at a Regular Meeting • ..of the _City Council of: - the Town of •Los.
