RESOLUTION 27-17 <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> TOWN OF LOS ALTOS HILLS <br /> MAKING DETERMINATIONS AND APPROVING THE <br /> REORGANIZATION OF UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS <br /> "MORA DRIVE NO. 2" <br /> PROPERTY LOCATED AT 11120 MORA DRIVE <br /> APPROXIMATELY 1.13 ACRES (APN 331-15-030) <br /> ANNEXATION APPLICATION#16-17-MISC <br /> PROPERTY OWNER: AMIR AND LIAT FRENKEL <br /> WHEREAS, A petition for the annexation of certain territory to the Town of Los Altos Hills and <br /> detachment of said territory from Santa Clara County, consisting of 1.13 acres located at 11120 <br /> Mora Drive (APN 331-15-030)has been filed by the property owner, Amir and Liat Frenkel; and <br /> WHEREAS, said territory is uninhabited and all owners of land included in the proposal consent <br /> to the annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Section 56757 of the California Government Code states that the Local Agency <br /> Formation Commission shall not review an annexation proposal to any city in Santa Clara <br /> County of unincorporated territory which is with the Urban Service Area of the city if initiated <br /> by resolution of the legislative body, and therefore the City Council of the Town of Los Altos <br /> Hills is now the conducting authority of said annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56663(a) provides that if a petition for annexation is <br /> signed by all owners of land within the affected territory, the City Council may approve or <br /> disapprove the annexation without a public hearing; and <br /> WHEREAS, evidence was presented to the City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, on May 18, 2017, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 21-17 initiating <br /> proceedings for annexation of the area designated as "Mora Drive No. 2"; and <br /> WHEREAS, California Government Code Section 56375.3 provides for an expedited process <br /> for cities to initiate changes of organization or reorganization for pockets of unincorporated <br /> territory within specified time frames that meet specified criteria; and <br /> WHEREAS, the State legislature has adopted the objective for LAFCO's to promote orderly <br /> boundaries and the efficient delivery of services. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: <br /> A. The following findings are made by the City Council of the Town of Los Altos Hills: <br /> Resolution 27-17 Page 1 <br />
