4.0 <br /> Town of Los Altos Hills ATTACHMENT I <br /> Senior Accountant/Finance Manager Job Class Specifications <br /> Amended March 22,2018 <br /> Town of Los Altos Hills <br /> Job Class Specifications <br /> SENIOR ACCOUNTANT/FINANCE MANAGER <br /> Reports To: Administrative Services Director FLSA: Exempt <br /> Supervises: Non-supervisory <br /> I. DESCRIPTION <br /> The position is a promotional series and is responsible for the following: <br /> • Manage, direct, coordinate, and perform the Town's general accounting and payroll <br /> functions; <br /> • Provide internal accounting and budgetary controls; <br /> • Coordinate annual audits and preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report <br /> (CAFR); <br /> • Provide highly technical and analytical staff assistance to senior management. <br /> • Provides effective administrative, financial and clerical support activities such as <br /> processing financial transactions; <br /> • Perform data input as related to budget and accounting entries; performs related duties as <br /> required. <br /> IL EXAMPLES OF DUTIES <br /> Senior Accountant <br /> Depending upon assignment, duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: <br /> • Perform all accounting duties as required to maintain all Town financial records <br /> including preparation and processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and <br /> payroll. <br /> • Establish and maintain journals, ledgers and supporting financial records; ensure timely <br /> maintenance of the General Ledger and the recording of all revenue, encumbrances and <br /> disbursements. <br /> • Develop and administer accounting and budget control systems as necessary to comply <br /> with accounting procedures, laws, ordinance and other regulations. <br /> • Assist in the development of and implement policies, and procedures relating to <br /> accounting, auditing, budgeting and payroll activities. <br /> • Assist in the review, develop and modify accounting methods and internal auditing <br /> Resolution I8-18 Page 2 <br />
