CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL,AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Mayor Kerr called the City Council Regular Meeting to order at 6:05p.m. in the Council <br /> Chambers at Town Hall. <br /> Present: Mayor Breene Kerr, Mayor Pro Tem Dean Warshawsky, Councilmember <br /> Craig A. T. Jones, Councilmember Jean Mordo and Councilmember Mike <br /> O'Malley <br /> Absent: None <br /> Staff: Acting City Manager/Planning Director Carl Cahill, City Attorney Steve <br /> Mattas, Administrative Services Director Sarah Ragsdale, Director of <br /> Public Works/City Engineer Henry Louie and City Clerk Karen Jost <br /> • 2. APPOINTMENTS AND PRESENTATIONS <br /> 2.1 Appointment to the Emergency Communications Committee <br /> Councilmember Mordo introduced the application, noting that Mr. Gerald Tomanek had <br /> resided in Los Altos Hills for over twenty years. He was an active volunteer in the <br /> community, a licensed ham radio enthusiast and CERT trained emergency volunteer. <br /> Mordo added that he would be a valued addition to the Emergency Communications <br /> Committee. His comments were echoed by Emergency Communications Chair Dru <br /> Anderson. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Mordo, seconded by Warshawsky <br /> and passed unanimously to appoint Gerald Tomanek to the Emergency Communications <br /> Committee for a term of four years. <br /> 2.2 Report from the Legal Counsel to the Public Education Committee on Options <br /> for Education Redistricting for Los Altos Hills <br /> Kathleen Justice-Moore, Public Education Committee, introduced this item to Council. <br /> She provided an historical overview of the Committee's efforts to investigate the return <br /> of public education to Los Altos Hills. She referenced the matrix of nine possible options <br /> and the Committee's analysis of each that had been presented in May, 2005 to the City <br /> Council.
