The proposed "Expense and Use of <br /> Public Resources Policy"before Council was drafted from the League of California Cities <br /> model and its adoption would make the Town in compliance with the requirements of <br /> AB 1234, Local Government Sunshine Bill. <br /> Council reviewed the policy and new requirements. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Jones, seconded by Mordo and <br /> passed unanimously to adopt the "Town of Los Altos Hills Expense and Use of Public <br /> Resources Policy" as presented. <br /> 7. REPORTS FROM COMMITTEES, SUB-COMMITTEES, AND <br /> • COUNCILMEMBERS ON OUTSIDE AGENCIES <br /> Councilmember Jones provided a progress report on the Ad Hoc Committee on Parks and <br /> Recreation Facilities efforts. He was moving forward on the tasks endorsed by the <br /> Council and had a scheduled meeting with Friends of Westwind on January 30, 2006 to <br /> discuss the option of a possible renegotiation of the lease and review the outstanding <br /> issues that had been identified with Westwind Barn. He suggested that it would be <br /> appropriate to give the Friends time to review the issues with their membership and to <br /> return to him with a list of issues that were open to negotiation and those issues that were <br /> non-negotiable. He would return to Council for further direction following the receipt of <br /> the Friends response. <br /> Jones requested permission to write a factual article for the Town's March Newsletter <br /> that would provide an overview of the current status of Westwind and the efforts of the <br /> Ad-Hoc Committees. The draft article would be written in conjunction with Ad Hoc <br /> Committee member Mayor Kerr and submitted for publication to Editor Duffy Price. <br /> City Attorney Steve Mattas reviewed with Council the Fair Political Practices <br /> Commission's restrictions on mass mailings.
