• Ability to operate a personal computer, including word processing and database <br />management. <br />Qualifications <br />• Graduation from an accredited four year college or university, with major course work in <br />urban planning, geography, architecture and/or related fields. <br />• Master's degree in city planning or related field, and certification (American Institute of <br />Certified Planners) desirable. <br />• Experience with building, engineering or community development departments desirable. <br />• Five years experience in a supervisory position in urban or environmental planning, <br />preferably with a public agency or agencies. <br />• Substantial experience in dealing with diverse public and private interests in the planning and <br />development process. <br />• Possession of a valid Class C California drivers license. <br />Community Development Director <br />(Position Description, cont.) 3 Rev. 2/23 <br />Resolution 11-23 Page 4 <br />
