CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL, AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> Mayor Warshawsky called the City Council Regular Meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. in the <br /> Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br /> Present: Mayor Dean Warshawsky, Mayor Pro Tem Craig A.T. Jones, <br /> Councilmember Jean Mordo and Councilmember Mike O'Malley <br /> Absent: Councilmember Breene Kerr <br /> Staff: City Manager Carl Cahill, City Attorney Steve Mattas, Administrative <br /> Services Director Sarah Ragsdale, Public Works Director/City Engineer <br /> Henry Louie, Planning Director Debbie Pedro, Parks and Recreation <br /> Supervisor Tod McLemore and City Clerk Karen Jost <br /> • MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Jones, seconded by Mordo and <br /> passed unanimously to limit comments from the floor to three minutes. <br /> 2. APPOINTMENTS AND PRESENTATIONS <br /> 2.1 Presentation of Proposed Improvements at Bullis School— <br /> Superintendent Tim Justus,Los Altos School District <br /> Superintendent Justus addressed Council and thanked them for the opportunity to present <br /> an overview of the Bullis School improvement project. He introduced project architects, <br /> Gelfand & Associates and proceeded with a PowerPoint presentation that included an <br /> aerial view of the ten acre multi-level site; site plans for the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. <br /> Justus explained that the full day kindergarten program would be maintained at the <br /> campus during Phase I of the project (construction year). Portables would be brought on <br /> campus and located in the parking lot to house the students and teacher facilities. Plans <br /> also included the renovation of the existing multi-purpose room to facilitate the office <br /> complex, serve as a small multi-purpose room, library and nurse's office. All <br /> construction staging will be located at the rear of the campus. Following Phase I,the first <br /> year of construction, the portables would be removed and the existing classes <br /> modernized. New buildings would include a new restroom, new library and new <br /> computer lab. Justus commented that the covered walk way that interconnected the <br /> • campus buildings was a design feature unique to the Bullis campus.
