Jim Steiner, Chairman of the Finance Committee, commented that the committee had <br />(` reviewed the proposed budget and their comments were reflected in the minutes of <br />their May 20,1997 meeting. He did comment though on the issue of hiring more staff <br />rather than using consultants. There were pros and cons to this issue but the committee <br />believed the Council should review this issue at some future date to determine the <br />benefit of proceeding one way or the other. <br />%W <br />Council thanked staff for presenting a well done budget for the coming year. The City <br />Manager noted that the final budget would be agendized for the June 18,1997 City <br />Council Meeting. <br />4. PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR <br />5.
