4.4 Approval of agreement with the City of Palo Alto for animal control <br />and sheltering services — Reso # <br />Dauber stated her concerns about the cost of this contract and the services provided <br />to the Town for animal services. <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To continue this item to the next Council Meeting and <br />to ask Torin Fischer, the Superintendent of Animal Services from the City of Palo <br />Alto, to attend the meeting and to address concerns raised by Councilmembers. <br />4.6 Request for authorization to advertise the Town's Pavement <br />Management and Storm Drain Improvement Project FY 95-96, <br />Town Project 96-5 for competitive bids -- Reso # <br />The City Manager asked that this item be moved to New Business for discussion. <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To move item 4.6 to New Business. <br />5. UNFINISHED BUSINESS <br />5.1 Exception to allow a driveway in a conservation easement for <br />Lands of Shideler, 27994 Via Ventana <br />Dauber suggested that staff work with the Fire Department to narrow the 14' width <br />of Via Ventana using more turnouts than retaining walls. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Casey, seconded by Hubbard and <br />passed unanimously by all members present to approve the exception to allow a <br />driveway in a conservation easement for Lands of Shideler at 27994 Via Ventana. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />6.1 Council Appointments to Committees, Subcommittees and Outside <br />Agencies <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To make appointments to outside agencies in November <br />after the election and to make the appointments to committees and subcommittees <br />in June. It was also agreed that the Mayor would continue holding bi-monthly <br />meetings with the Committee Chairmen. The following appointments were made: <br />Community Relations Committee - Hubbard; Environmental Design and Protection <br />Committee - Dauber; Finance Committee - Casey; Pathways Recreation and Parks <br />Committee - Johnson; Safety Committee - Siegel; and Technology Improvement - <br />Johnson. Dauber and Hubbard were appointed to the Solid Waste Subcommittee <br />and Councilmembers Casey, Johnson, Planning Commissioners Doran and <br />Jinkerson and resident Ray Rooker were appointed to the Communications <br />July 17, 1996 <br />Regular City Council Meeting <br />
