Casey asked that in the <br />future Council receive the budget when it is made available to the Finance <br />Committee rather than just a couple of days before the study session so they would <br />have more time to review it. <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To increase salaries by 2.3% based on the February CPI <br />and to note that next year the January CPI will be used for salary increases. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hubbard, seconded by Siegel and <br />passed by the following roll call vote to delete the $3,000 in the City Manager's <br />budget for professional services (salary survey). <br />AYES: Mayor Dauber and Councilmembers Casey, Hubbard and Siegel <br />NOES: Councilmember Johnson <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To approve the following contributions to community <br />groups: $6,620 to CHAC, $1,000 to Los Altos Senior Center, $8,000 to Community <br />Services Agency, $500 to Los Altos Chamber of Commerce, $500 to Los Altos <br />Mediation Program and $50 to the Los Altos Senior Coordinating Council. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Hubbard, seconded by Siegel and <br />passed by the following roll call vote to approve $500 to the Mid -Peninsula Support <br />p` Network. <br />AYES: Mayor Dauber and Councilmembers Hubbard, Johnson and Siegel <br />NOES: Councilmember Casey <br />Casey stated that she voted no because she believed the contribution should be <br />$1,000. <br />Dauber asked if the Sheriffs Department was aware of this organization and <br />referred residents to it when appropriate. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Dauber, seconded by Johnson and <br />passed unanimously to review the request for a contribution to the Childrens' <br />Shelter at mid -year budget review. <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel, seconded by Johnson and <br />passed by the following roll call vote to review the request for a contribution to Joint <br />Venture Silicon Valley at mid -year budget review. <br />June 7, 1995 <br />Adjourned Regular Meeting <br />
