1h. <br /> The Director of Public Works stated that the Local Agency Formation Commission had <br /> reviewed the proposed annexation in December and had recommended the annexation <br /> of the Finn property, several parcels within an island created by the annexation of the <br /> Finn property, the immediately adjacent Lands of Silver property and several parcels <br /> within an island created by the annexation of the Silver property. LAFCO <br /> recommended the annexation of the full 35+/- acres in accordance with the <br /> Cortese.Knox annexation policy guidelines. These guidelines note that annexation <br /> boundaries should be such that they eliminate the creation of islands and create logical <br /> jurisdictional boundaries to assist in eliminating any jurisdictional confusion in the <br /> future. <br /> One written protest had been made to the annexation by Mr. and Mrs. Gary Silver of <br /> 24840 Prospect Avenue. <br /> Rosemary Meyerott, Town Historian, stated that the did not object to the annexation <br /> but wanted to take this opportunity to express her disagreement with name of Finn <br /> Way which had been selected for the subdivision. She strongly believed that this <br /> should be an historical name. <br /> kir <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously by all members present to adopt Resolution #12-90 ordering the <br /> reorganization of certain contiguous inhabited territory designated as the Lands of Finn <br /> annexation subject to liability for general indebtedness of the Town, and determining <br /> that one written protest was filed and not withdrawn in connection with the proposed <br /> annexation. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Tryon, seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously by all members present to direct the Planning Commission to <br /> hold a public hearing and make a recommendation on the zoning of the annexation. <br /> 7.
