PRESENTATIONS FROM THE FLOOR: (continued) : <br /> Mrs. Shari Emling, 11853 Murietta, asked if the Town was working on <br /> ensuring that there would be no more damage to the Town' s conservation <br /> easements. She noted that the taxpayers ended up paying and the public <br /> should be aware. <br /> Mr. Edward Emling, Planning Commissioner , asked for a clarification of <br /> policy and referenced the recent slide presentation given by staff on <br /> hilltops and ridgelines . Apparently the City Manager had met with two <br /> developers to discuss issues related to building in the Town. In Mr. <br /> Emling' s opinion it would be better to have a meeting with all of the <br /> developers who work in the Town. Mr. Emling asked why the Planning <br /> Commission was being left out of the loop and also asked what <br /> direction the Council wanted the Planning Commission to take. <br /> Mr. Clark Ritchey, 13153 Country Way, asked if the Town was a General <br /> Law or Charter City. He was advised the Town was a general law city. <br /> 6 . PUBLIC HEARINGS: <br /> 6 .1 Abandonment of Conservation Easement , Land of LoConte , <br /> 28140 Story Hill Lane - Resolution # <br /> isr Council had before them the 9/20/89 staff report from the City Planner <br /> which included the recommendation that the abandonment of the <br /> conservation easement be approved. The report also included the <br /> notation that, as directed by the City Attorney, the Planning <br /> Commission considered this issue at their 9/13/89 meeting and <br /> determined that said abandonment would be in conformance with the <br /> Town' s General Plan. It was noted that one of the conditions of the <br /> tentative map for Lands of LoConte stated that the applicant would <br /> dedicate an additional conservation/open space easement to replace the <br /> easement being removed. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel , seconded by Johnson and <br /> passed unanimously by all members present to adopt Resolution #114 <br /> ordering the vacation and abandonment of a portion of a certain open <br /> space conservation easement in the Town of Los Altos Hills under the <br /> provisions of the 'Public Streets , Highways and Service Easements <br /> Vacation Law' (Lands of LoConte) <br /> 7 . OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 7 . 1 Sun Country Cable Status - Oral Report <br /> Lyn Simpson, Sun Country Cable, presented a status report to the <br /> Council .
