Approval of Minutes : March 16 , 1988 <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by van Tamelen, seconded by <br /> Dronkert and passed unanimously to approve the minutes of the 3/16/88 <br /> City Council Meeting with the following corrections : page 1 , first <br /> paragraph, insert 'Los Altos High School ' before 'Main Street <br /> Singers ' ; page 3 , insert the following under Report from the Planning <br /> Commission: ' Planning Commissioner Carico reported that the following <br /> issues were discussed at the 3/9/88 Planning Commission Meeting: 1) <br /> Lands of Christiansen, File VAR #35-87 , - denied; 2) Lands of Willis , <br /> File VAR #1-88 , approved; 3) Lands of Wong, File VAR #15-87, <br /> continued; 4) Lands of Charvez , Lot #1 - O' Keefe Lane, request for <br /> appeal of site development conditions regarding circular driveway - <br /> denied; 5) interpretation of floor area determination for Lands of <br /> Vogel ; and 6) possible rescheduling of next Planning Commission <br /> meeting to avoid conflict with LAFCO meeting on San Antonio Hills <br /> (west) annexation; page 5 , Item 1 , add following last paragraph: <br /> ' PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To designate Bill Ekern, Director of Public <br /> Works , to represent the Town and to meet with Mr. Vidovich and other <br /> appropriate persons to discuss potential plans for the quarry. ' <br /> 2 . Resolution # setting the time and place of hearing <br /> concerning adoption of a proposed negative declaration <br /> in connection with the Bullis School Pedestrian Path <br /> Project <br /> PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To note the several letters which had been <br /> received concerning the installation of the flashing yellow lights <br /> near Bullis School and to defer consideration of this resolution to <br /> the next meeting at which time a discussion of the flashing yellow <br /> lights will also be scheduled. The immediate neighbors of Bullis <br /> School will be sent an agenda for the 4/20/88 Council meeting. <br /> 3 . Resolution # authorizing the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission as a Service Authority for Freeway Emergencies <br /> (SAFE) <br /> Siegel commented that the SAFE program had been established by the <br /> California Legislature to allow the Authority, upon county and city <br /> approval , to impose a $1.00 fee on vehicle registrations each year to <br /> pay for the implementation, operation and maintenance of the call <br /> boxes. Ratification required approval of both the Board of Supervisors <br /> and the City Councils representing a majority of the city population <br /> in the county. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel , seconded by Dronkert and <br /> 4110 passed unanimously to adopt Resolution #31-88 authorizing the <br /> Metropolitan Transportation Commission as a Service Authority for <br /> Freeway Emergencies (SAFE) <br /> 3- 4/6/88 <br />
