PUBLIC HEARING: (continued) : <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel , seconded by Dronkert and <br /> passed unanimously to change the following titles of capital <br /> improvement programs on page eleven of the budget: ' pavement study <br /> road repairs ' to 'pavement management road repairs ' and ' storm drain <br /> study improvements ' to ' storm drainage master plan improvements ' . <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Siegel , seconded by van Tamelen <br /> and passed unanimously to adopt Resolution #55-87 adopting the budget <br /> for the fiscal year 1987-88 as amended by Council on 6/17/87. <br /> G. OLD BUSINESS: <br /> 1. Relocation of Town Hall Entrance and Improvements to <br /> Fremont and Concepcion intersection <br /> The City Manager referred to his staff report dated 6/10/87 which <br /> outlined the pros/cons/costs of the relocation of the Town Hall <br /> entrance. van Tamelen commented that she did not think there was a <br /> need to change the entrance; however, she did support an overall plan <br /> for the Town Hall complex and in that plan saw a possible change in <br /> the entrance. <br /> MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Dronkert, seconded by Plummer <br /> and passed by the following roll call vote to support the relocation <br /> of the Town Hall entrance and to appoint van Tamelen and Plummer to a <br /> subcommittee on the relocation of the Town Hall entrance and to work <br /> with the City Manager in the preparation of an RFP (request for <br /> proposals) on the design of the Town Hall property. <br /> AYES: Mayor Tryon and Councilmembers Dronkert, Plummer and van <br /> Tame len <br /> NOES: Mayor Pro Tem Siegel <br /> 2. Request from the PTA of Bullis Purissima School for the <br /> installation of a stop sign at the Fremont Road and <br /> Manuella crossing <br /> The City Manager referred to his staff report dated 6/10/87 on the <br /> request from Bullis School PTA for installation of a stop sign at <br /> Manuella. The report included comments on various options including a <br /> crossing guard and/or flashing yellow lights. The City Manager stated <br /> that dependability and cost were certainly factors if the option of <br /> yellow flashing lights were chosen; however, he thought it could be <br /> worked out. It was further noted that the lights could be functional <br /> only during school hours . The PTA of Bullis School , during an earlier <br /> conversation, had appeared to be in agreement with the option of <br /> yellow flashing lights . <br /> L <br /> -9- 6/17/87 <br />
