II, Side II, 001-200 <br />Mayor van Tamelen called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council to order <br />at 9:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall. <br />A. ROLL CALL AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: <br />Present: Mayor van Tamelen and CouncimmmbersG Allison, Hillestad, Perkins and Proft <br />(Councilwoman Hillestad arrived at 9:30 a.m. and left at 10:30 a.m.) <br />Absent: None <br />Staff: City Manager Ann Hinshaw and City Clerk Pat Dawd <br />Press: Florence Pallakoff, Los Altos Tom Crier <br />Before the Council began the agendized items, they agreed to hear a report by a <br />resident on drainage problems on his property. <br />Mr. Paul Stock, 25541 W. Freront Brad addressed the Council concerning the <br />boding which had taken place on his property during the last winter storms. <br />c Mr. Stock asked Council to include his area when making budget decisions regarding <br />av storm damage expenditures. He also expressed serious concern that this matter <br />be addressed before the next rainy season began. <br />PASSED BY CONSENSUS: To direct the Acting City Engineer to meet with Mr. Stock <br />and to present a report at the 7/20/83 Council meeting. <br />B. CONSENT CALENDAR: <br />1. Resolution for Adoption: <br />a) Resolution # ordering the performance of certain work <br />The City Manager referred to her staff report dated 7/11/83 concerning the request <br />for proposals for consulting engineer for various projects. It was noted that <br />these services were required to prepare plans, specifications and estimates for <br />various street and other projects in Town. Said RFPs would be sent to qualified <br />engineering firms which could provide soils and engineering designs as required. <br />Council discussed the report before then and the attached exhibits: Exhibit A <br />listing projects which did not need to be c repleted right away and Exhibit B <br />showing projects which must be cxnpleted before the next rainy season. Regarding <br />Exhibit B there were several cortmnts: #2 Moody Road at Francemont Road - City <br />Manager to contact John O'Halloran at the Santa Clara Valley Water District; it is <br />possible the SCVFA may have sane responsibility; #5 Adobe Creek at Chaparral Way - <br />subdivider will be notified; #10 Ascension Drive at Anacapa Road - some attempt <br />should be made to contact owners for them to share responsibility of costs for <br />slides from private property onto public. Proft stated that a list of such areas <br />should go before Council so they could review and decide if Town or resident should <br />pay; #11 Natcma Road - not shown in capital improvements (inadvertently omitted - <br />will be added to capital inprovements budget). <br />
