City Manager's Report: <br />a) Lease and Agreement with Friends of Westwind <br />The Acting City Manager presented his staff report and recommendations (dated <br />9/10/82). A discussion followed with Council concerning length of lease; <br />expected expenses for Westwind during 1982/83; responsibilites of the Town and <br />of the Friends of Westwind; and landscape policy. <br />The following residents addressed the Council concerning the proposed lease <br />and agrea ent with Friends of Westwind and the recamerdations of the Actin <br />City Manager: Oscar Sobel, 28266 Christophers Lane; Alma Wood, 12151 Stone] <br />tar Drive; Ginger Jenkins, 13093 Cmmbra Vista; Sally Reed, 26801 Altamont; Doni <br />,W <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Allison, seconded by Hillestad and passed <br />unanimously to direct the City Attorney to prepare a new lease and agreement <br />with the Friends of Westwird in conformity with the 9/10/82 staff report as amended <br />by Council. <br />b) Little League Lease Payment <br />The Acting City Manager presented his report dated 9/19/82 which included back- <br />ground information on the ten-year lease with the Little League and included the <br />reoo mmendation that the Little league lease payment for 1982-83 be increased to <br />$8,000. Meetings had been held with representatives fron the Little League and <br />all parties had agreed to this recommendation. Council discussed maintenance <br />of fields; users of fields; participation of Town residents; and rewording of <br />lease to more accurately reflect changes which had been made over the years. <br />The following residents addressed the Council concerning the Little League: <br />Martv Wank.
