CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - May 7, 1980 <br />B. ROIISINT CALENDAR (continued) <br />Item added to Consent Calendar: LANDS OF TH MPSON, File TM #4-80 <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moved by Perkins, seconded by Proft and passed <br />unanimously granting a time extension to June 30, 1980 for Planning Coamission <br />consideration of the LANDS OF TBOMPSON, File 7M #4-80. <br />C. SPECIAL REPORTS: <br />1. Reports of Standing Committees: <br />a) Traffic & Public Safety CYsnnittee - Proposal for a four-way stop <br />intersection at Black Mountain and Natoma Roads. <br />Mrs. Barbara Cordon, Chairman/Traffic & Public Safety 0minittee presented the <br />Committee's recommendation that the stop signs be moved to Natuna fon Black <br />Mountain (creating a temporary four-way stop intersection). <br />Jean Wilcox, Melody Lane; A. Bakst, Edgerton Road and Bob Puette, Black Mountain <br />Iniad all spoke in favor of placing stop signs on Natuna in addition to the ones <br />already on Black Mountain. <br />ODm Lnenbers considered the traffic reports and facts before than including <br />the staff's recommendation that a four-way stop not be established. <br />MOTION SECONDED ARID CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seoorded by Hillestal and passed <br />unanimously to have stop signs installed on Natuna in both directions and for a <br />traffic count and evaluation of the entire intersection to be made and the results <br />reported back to Council. <br />b) Pathways Committee: <br />Mrs. Fran Stevenson, member/Pathways Cammittee made the following brief report: <br />the Master Pathway Plan hopefully would be ready to present in a month; 2) <br />residents helping out in clearing sane of the Town's paths. Mayor to send a <br />letter of thanks fon the Town; 3) more trails are being marked by the LAH <br />Horsemens' Association; and 4) if anyone knows of any paths needing work done, <br />please let the Pathways Cam[nittee knew. <br />Reports of Ad Hoc Committees: none <br />Reports from the Planning CYnmission: <br />a) Tennis Court Policy Statement <br />Cbnmissioner Stewart presented the Caumission's Tennis Court Policy Statement <br />for the Council's approval. Councilmeumbers remarked that it was very well done <br />but they felt that certain areas needed more detailed attention, i.e. setbacks <br />and landscaping. Councilmenbers Perkins and Hillestad voluntF red to meet with <br />all or some members of the Planning Camdssion to work out these details and <br />report back to the Council the end of June. <br />L -2- <br />
