CANSENS CALENDAR - Item Ranoved: B.3a) - C.U.P. #1-80 (continued) <br />`, Councilman Proft stated that he asked for a revised use permit which listed <br />only these items related to the new wrditional use permit and removed the <br />items which had been completed. The City Manager noted that this use _emit <br />was an amendment to the original use pennit. Prior conditions had been com- <br />plied with and this related to ongoing conditions. <br />YDITON SBOO DID ASID CARRIED: Moved by Proft, seconded by McReynolds and passed <br />unanimously by all members present to adopt Conditional Use Permit #1-80 as <br />recommended by Planning Claamission and as reflected on the pink sheet. <br />The City Council then adjourned to Executive Session for Litigation at 7:45 p.m. <br />and reconvened at 8:05 p.m. <br />SPECIAL REPORTS: <br />1. Reports from the Planning Czrmission: <br />Planning Cammissioner Stewart reported on the Planning C3mission's reoaumexdation <br />that the City Council establish an agreement with Fbothill College to improve the <br />availability and accessibility of Pbothill College recreational facilities for use <br />by Town residents. Councilmembers asked for more specifics regarding this matter. <br />Planning Omadssioner Rydell is to check with Foothill College, find out the rules <br />f. and regulations regarding the courts, pools, tracks, etc. and report back to <br />Council. This information will also go in the next issue of the LAH Newsletter. <br />4. Presentations frau the Floor: none <br />� •� •�v ��••w •� n� « � i � i ra is <br />City Manager <br />a) Fire Department Report: Scottsdale Fire Progran and Request for <br />authorization to retain the firms of Rural/Metro as a consultant for <br />this project. <br />The City Manager reported on the trip he, the Mayor axd Cordon Penfold had taken <br />to Scottsdale to study their fire progran. Regarding retaining Rural/Metro as a <br />consultant Councilman McReynolds noted that Rural/Metro would not be the sole <br />consultant; the Town already had one consultant, Chief Sanders, Ios Altos Fire <br />District. This gave the Town the opportunity to objectively study the issue; <br />Rural/Metro would present a different viewpoint. At the least this study should <br />present the Town with timely information and possibly the opportunity to improve <br />the services. Councilman Perkins asked staff to provide a time schedule showing <br />what goals were to be expected by what dates and what were the alternatives if <br />they were not met. <br />MOTION SBCONDED AM CARRIED: Moved by Perkins, seconded by McReynolds and passed <br />unanimously by all members present to request the services of Rural/Metro within <br />L the terns of their proposal dated 5/14/80, with the stipulations that the study <br />�/ be completed within 45 days and does not exceed $5,000. <br />-2- <br />
