CITY CDUNCIL MINUTES - June 4, 1980 <br />♦ C. SPECIAL REPORTS: (continued) <br />W 4. Presentations from the Floor: <br />Andrew Allison, 27360 Natuna Road, spoke to the Council regarding the barking <br />dog problem in his neighborhood. Mr. Allison stated he had spoken to the <br />owners of the dog and had filed a complaint with the Sheriff's Department; <br />1vwever, to date, no action had been taken. Mr. Allison further informed <br />Council that he was representing several of his neighbors in this matter. <br />The Assistant City Attorney pointed out that the County is presently considering <br />adopting a barking dog ordinance. Council agreed that it would be appropriate <br />for the Mayor to write the Sheriff's Department, with copies to the owners of <br />the dog and to Mr. Allison, stating that the Town was aware of this problem and <br />asking the Department to report back on the situation. <br />1,444 -t1 U•• . 11111119 1M 1 I ED * <br />1. City Manager: <br />a) Lau Enforcement Contract <br />The City Manager recommended Council approve the Law Enforcanent Agreement, <br />noting that it did include a cancellation process (60 days written notice). <br />Perkins noted that it was a cumbersome and not explicit agreement. He <br />suggested a cover letter be prepared stating exactly what services the Town <br />would receive from the Sheriff's Department and the cost. Proft also noted <br />400 that the Exhibits were net attaclxed to the agreement. <br />MOTION SAAfIDED MU CARRIED: Moved by McReynolds, seconded by Perkins and <br />passed unanimously to continue this item to the next meeting and at that time <br />to have a cover letter clarifying the issue inclining the details of what would <br />happen if the Town were to cancel the agreement. <br />b) Adobe Creek <br />The City Manager reported that the Town had received the consultant's reports <br />on the feasibility and the financial projections for the Adobe Creek Recreation <br />Club. Several aspects still needed to be worked out and the City Manager asked <br />the Mayor to appoint two Councilmenbers to work with the staff on these details. <br />Mayor Nystrom and ODunci lman McReynolds volunteered and a meeting with staff <br />would be arranged for the very near future. <br />E. SPECIAL ORDERS: <br />1. Ordinance #264 unending Section 9-4.703, and Subsections (a) and (b) <br />of Section 9-4.704, respectively, of Chapter 4 entitled "Subdivisions" <br />of Title 9 entitled"Planning and Zoning" of the los Altos Hills Municipal <br />Code, and repealing Sections 9-4.707 and 9-4.710, thereof (SECOND READING) <br />MOTION SECONDED AND CARRIED: Moven by Proft, seconded by Perkins and passed <br />unanimously to waive further reading of Ordinance #264. <br />-2- <br />
