40 <br />CITY COUNCIL MINUTES - April 17, 1974 <br />Speaking from the Floor: <br />Mrs. Millie Saviano Corte Madera Court: Read from Minutes of Planning <br />omm ss on, , and thoughtthe Planning Consultant would be <br />completely misled if he were to receive additional input without being <br />informed of actions taken by the Commission. <br />Discussion ensued regarding the second bicycle path plan and possible <br />inputs from Pathway Committee. <br />Councilwoman Miller suggested that Council allow the Planner to take all <br />information and put it together, going back to the Pathway Committee at <br />that time for study and recommendation. <br />Councilman McReynolds commented on his recollection of the Planning <br />Commission's discussions on this Plan, stating the Commission felt there <br />was still much work to be done insofar as engineering studies, etc. <br />After further discussion, Mayor Grabowski summarized the essence of <br />proposals made in this regard: <br />1. That Town proceed with Plan along the course as outlined by the City <br />Manager - that all plans and information be put in the hands of the <br />Planning Consultant. <br />2. That the Town was not ready for a Master Bicycle Path Pian until <br />further study was made regarding the engineering of paths, roads and a <br />study of the needs of the community. <br />The Mayor felt that ideas generated at this evening's meeting, as suggested <br />by Councilman Helgesson, should be discussed with the Planning Consultant <br />and work proceed from that point. When asked if the Pathway Committee <br />would be consulted, Mr. Lawson said that the Consultant planned to work <br />directly with the Committee on this Element. <br />Speaking from the Floor: <br />Mrs. T. CURRENT BUSINESS: <br />1. Purchase of Chairs for Council Chambers: <br />Since the chairs were to be utilized by the Public, Mayor Grabowski called <br />a short recess to allow members of the audience to examine five chairs on <br />display so Council could determine their ideas on comfort and appeal. <br />-3- <br />
