4W <br />4W <br />CITY COUMCIL Mt4UTES - July 22, 1974 <br />?Mposed_Moody Caryon Re -zoning iccjjVA: <br />She noted that it was the usual procedure of the County to notify cities <br />when changes were being considered within the city's sphere of influence. <br />Planning Consultant George Mader commented that in reviewing this matter, <br />he did not feel that there appeared to be any problem! however, he stated <br />that his office had just found out that "RHS" zoning provided for changes <br />in slope density calculations based on the availability of utilities. He <br />said this had not been stated in the letter received from the County <br />Planning Department. <br />Mrs. Steinberg said that when the Town established a position regarding <br />the zoning, they should forward their comments to the County and they <br />would he taken into consideration prior to any decision being made. <br />Discussion continued regarding the General Plan adopted by the Town and <br />how the surrounding areas were zoned and found to be compatible with this <br />adopted Plan. However, Mrs. Steinberg raised a question regarding the <br />zoning as shown on the Plan. Mr. Mader said that his office had received <br />this information from the County at the time the Plan was being drawn un <br />and was to have been the latest information. Because o' this question, <br />Mrs. Steinberg said she would be glad to work with ^ir. Mader to get <br />together all available information. <br />Speaking from the floor: <br />Mr. H. M. Bernstein, Page Hill Road: Kcpresenting residents of V,,a Moody <br />Canyon area, ��e spoke r•egaraina desire of residents to maintain the present <br />zoning. <br />Discussion then revolved around the County's new "CS" -oninq, which Mrs. <br />Steinberg explained to Council. She said such a zoning would require the <br />Town's requesting from lnr'CO a change in the present Urban Service <br />boundary. Hhen this -.ds done, then the County would consider the Town's <br />request for "CS" ,r,ding in the area which is super -imposed on any present <br />zoning in the a -ea. She said the "CS" zoning would allow a maximum density <br />of one hoose per two and one-half acres in that arae. <br />Discussion continued regarding this new zoning,, corwunicati?ns problems <br />the Town appeared to be having with the Coanty, ami the imnediate problem <br />of Moody Canyon. <br />Councilman McReynolds moved that the Counci` a^.op'c n resot�..tinn to thhr <br />Board of Supervisors urging them to reta-n the "A" ,-oninn it 'nne Moody <br />Canyon area. Councilwoman Miller secondad the motion which wac unanimously <br />approved by Council. <br />Mr. Mader stated. that the Town needed to establish exactly whet tha peasent <br />zoning is before 7 position could be established. <br />-2- <br />
