Padden, Jr. <br />(V-332-73) for reduction of required setback to allow <br />additions to house located at 25331 Estacada Drive, as recom- <br />mended by the Planning Commission, in accordance with the six <br />criteria of Section 9-5.905(b)a and that the degree of <br />environmental impact has been determined to be trivial. <br />d. i°otion approving variance request of Robert A. Hutto (V-382-73) <br />with the house being relocated as shown on revised plans and <br />with an 3 -ft. wide deck up to entry point of the house and <br />10 -ft. wide from that point on, in accordance with the six <br />criteria of Section 9-5.905(b), as recommended by the Planning <br />Commission; and that the degree of environmental impact has <br />been determined to be trivial (Lot #27, Tract #3306). <br />MOTION, SECOADED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded by <br />Grabowski and carried unanimously to adopt the Consent Calendar, dated <br />February 7, 1973. <br />C. RESOLUTIONS ARU MOTIONS: <br />1. Mayor Helgesson opened discussion on Resolution No. 694 adopting <br />policy regarding variances for swimming pools and tennis courts <br />on residential lots. Commissioner Lachenbruch summarized the <br />feeling of staff and Planning Commission that in general, while <br />tennis courts are a source of problems to Town residents, and are <br />therefore normally prohibited, the construction of swimming pools <br />is more easily permitted. <br />Speaking from the floor: Mrs. Carico <br />HOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded <br />by Grabowski and carried unanimously that Resolution No. 694 be <br />adopted. <br />Rayor Helgesson opened discussion on directing City Manager Lawson <br />to renegotiate the lease for Byrne Preserve to terms more favor- <br />able to the Town. It was explained by the City Manager that the <br />present rental of this property by Mr. Thomas in the amount of <br />$50 entitles him to graze approximately 20 horses. He also pro- <br />vides maintenance of fences surrounding the property. This <br />existing lease is not in the best interest of the Town and steps <br />should be taken to renegotiate a better rental fee for the same <br />services. <br />Speaking from the floor: Mrs. Helgesson <br />Mr. Laws <br />JOT?OH, SECOruED AND CARRIED: Councilman Grabowski moved, <br />seconded by Davey and carried unanimously that the City Manager <br />ba authorized to renegotiate the lease for Byrne Preserve in <br />terms more favorable to the Town. <br />
