Ordinance No. 206, an Ordinance of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />repealing Ordinance lio. 186 (second reading), setting the <br />1971-72 Salary Schedule. <br />NOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded <br />by Miller and carried unanimously to waive further reading and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 206 by title. <br />2. Ordinance No. 207, an Ordinance of the Town of Los Altos Hills <br />amending a portion of Chapter 5 (Zoning) of Title 9 of the Los <br />Altos Hills Municipal Code. <br />Speaking from the floor: Mrs. Schick <br />Nr. Laws <br />HOTIO4, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Davey moved, seconded <br />by Miller and carried unanimously to waive further reading and <br />adopt Ordinance No. 207 by title. <br />E. CURRENT BUSINESS: <br />1. Discussion of proposed ordinance limiting use of projectile - <br />throwing devices amending Secs. 4-4.02 through 4-4.05 of the <br />Los Altos Hills Hunicipal Code. <br />Councilman Grabowski stated tM importance of the right of the <br />citizen to protect himself, but that limits should be imposed on <br />the possession, use and private transportation of projectile <br />devices and asserted his wish that the City Engineer study the <br />use of these devices and the possibility of establishing skeet <br />and pistol ranges. <br />Speaking from the floor: Mrs. Royden <br />dr. Laws <br />Mrs. Schick <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the possibility of estab- <br />lishing the community as a fish and game reserve. <br />Speaking from the floor: Mr. McReynolds <br />Council concurred and instructed the Planning Commission to <br />discuss the matter at their next regularly scheduled meeting of <br />February 14, 1973 and forward recommendations in a timely manner <br />to the Council. Councilman Puller will further study the im- <br />pact of gun use in the community concurrently with Councilman <br />Grabowski and City Attorney Faisant for further input to the <br />Council. <br />
