SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 2: <br />LOT LINE aiANOB BETWEEN LOT #2 and #3, TRACT #4215, ROSEHILL ESTATES UNIT <br />#1 (LLC -3-72). APPLICANT: RICHARD B. NELSCN. <br />Staff reviewed this realignment of the common lot line recommended for appro- <br />val at the March 27th Planning Commission meeting. Council concurred. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilmen Helgesson moved, seconded by <br />Corbett and carried unanimously that the request of R. B. Nelson for a Lot <br />Line Change (LLC 3-72) between lots 2 and 3 of Tract #4215 (Rosehill Estates <br />Unit #1) be approved. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 3: <br />REPORT ON PENDING-LBGISLATIVE MATTERS -- COUNCILMAN GRABOWSKI. <br />Councilman Grabowski reviewed the following items under consideration by the <br />State Legislature and the Council endorsed enactment of the following: <br />SCR 4 - Requires roll call votes for State Assembly and Senate <br />Standing Committees. <br />SCA 19 - Allows an individual citizen to file ecological suit. <br />AC 31 - Prohibits the State from subjecting local jurisdiction to any <br />State program unless total financial provision for its ad- <br />ministration is provided by the State. <br />AS 519 - Excludes Councilmen from jury duty. <br />Council opposed SB 437 which would restrict a local jurisdiction from con- <br />trolling camping on city streets in vehicles so designed for habitation. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1: <br />APPOINT PLANNING C@@JISSIONER FOR 4 -YEAR TERM. <br />Mayor Benson noted that the term of Planning Commissioner Thomas P. McReynolds <br />expires on April 4, 1972, and entertained nominations for this appointment. <br />Councilman Helgesson lauded Mr. McReynolds? efforts on the Commission and <br />nominated him for reappointment. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Grabowski moved, seconded by Mayor <br />Benson and carried by majority vote, (Davey, no) that nominations for Plan- <br />ning Commission vacancy be closed. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilmen Helgesson moved, seconded by Grab. <br />owski and carried by majority vote that Thomas P. McReynolds be reappointed <br />to the Planning Commission for a four-year term expiring April 4, 1976. <br />Councilman Davey preferred the matter be continued to allow the new Council <br />to make the appointment. Floor comments were heard from Mrs. J. McIlwraith, <br />and Mr. H. Clay, 12100 Roble Ladera. <br />UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO. 2• <br />CONSIDER RBRUEST FROM ALEXANDER TRAFICANTI TO REDUCE THE FIRE FLOW REQUIRE- <br />MENT OF THE LOS ALTOS FIRE DEPARTMENT ON THE VOORHEES SUBDIVISION. <br />Aar. Traficanti requested that the Tom reduce the requirement for fire flow <br />at the hydrant installed at the upper end of Voorhees Drive. Mr. Traficanti <br />4, noted compliance with the Fire Departmentts request would be an undue hard- <br />ship in view of the $25,000 expenditure required to install an 8" water line <br />to serve his four lot subdivision. Mayor Benson and Councilman Helgesson <br />agreed to meet with the applicant and representatives of the California Water <br />Company and Fire Marshal Farwell to resolve the problem. <br />-2- <br />
