SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1: <br />BRIAN, L. -G. & C0. TBSA-67-71) - Request for building site approval for one lot on <br />Natoma Road, 4.35 acres. Engr. L. G. Brian. <br />Staff stated that the Planning Commission at their meeting June 14 recommended build- <br />ing site approval for this lot and revieored the conditions of the check list. <br />Discussion evolved around the 13001 of pathway along Natoma. Mrs. Millie Saviano, <br />Chairman of the Pathway Committee stated they wished the path installed. Mr. Brian, <br />the applicant requested that he be allowed to pay path in -lieu fees instead. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Grabowski, <br />and carried unanimously that building site approval for 1 lot for L. G. Brian <br />(BSA 67-71) be granted in accordance with the check list dated June 14, 1971 except <br />that the requirement for a path along Natoma shell be held in abeyance pending Staff <br />recommendation to the Council as to whether installation of the path along Natoma or <br />payment of in -lieu fees is acceptable. <br />99100 up T2U_Q <br />MATADERO OARS SUBDIVISION (374-70) - Reduction of number of lots from 43 to 41. <br />Engr. G. S. Nolte. <br />Land Resources Corp., subdivider of this parcel submitted a revised Tentative Map <br />showing the deletion of the two lots as requested by the Planning Commission and <br />Council. Staff noted that in addition to recommending approval of this action, the <br />Planning Commission recommended that additional study be given the intersection of <br />Page Mill Road, Alexis Drive, and Paseo del Robles. <br />Nineteen neighbors in the area of this intersection petitioned the Planning Commission <br />for such a study. Staff noted that this intersection was studied in detail prior to <br />( the original approval of the Tentative Map and a design referred to as "Alternate 3" <br />was chosen as the best solution, but that the intersection could be further improved <br />by acquiring right-of-way from the Palo Alto School District and rebuilding a portion <br />of Page Mill Road. This plan would necessitate Town expenditure, however, as the <br />area improved would all be outside this subdivision. <br />L <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Grabowski and <br />carried unanimously that the revised Tentative Map (374-70) for Matadero Oaks dated <br />May 17, 1971 indicating deletion of the two lots as requested in the approved check <br />list dated January 12, 1971 as amended by Council minutes of January 18, 1971 be <br />approved. <br />Council concurred that Staff should further study the improvement of a portion of <br />Page Mill Road at the intersection of Paseo del Robles and Alexis Drive and report <br />its recommendations back to the Council. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 3: <br />1971-72 BUDGET. <br />Prior to discussion of the 1971-72 Budget, Mayor Benson adjourned the meeting (from <br />8:30 P.M. to 9:15 P.M.) for a Litigation and Personnel session relative to the budgets <br />Upon reconvening, staff reviewed changes to the original budget draft which reflected <br />increases of $3000 for part time help; postage $200, telephone $100 and the Town's <br />share of the retirement system contribution $3,350. Mr. Fritachle stated that these <br />additions coupled with the originally indicated $35,000 deficit could be brought <br />into balance with a 152 tax rate increase.
