Ross Aiken called the Regular Meeting of the City Council of the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills to order at 7:50 P. M. in the Council Chambers of the <br />Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road, Los Altos Hills, with the following members <br />answering roll call: Present: Councilmen Benson, Davey, Helgesson, Mayor <br />Aiken. Absent: Councilman Fowle. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION REPRESENTATIVE: Commissioner W. F. Minckley <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES: March 3. 1969. <br />Amendment: Page 2, Announcements, Item 1, (b), 1st line: Amend sentence to <br />read: "Mayor Aiken further noted property owners in LAH1 not connecting would <br />also not have to install house laterals nor fill their septic tanks, ..... . <br />Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Benson and carried unanimously, that <br />the Minutes of March 3, 1969 be approved as amended. <br />COIMUNICATIONS• 046 <br />City Clerk, Dennis R. Lahr, read the following communications: <br />1) Letter from Mayor 40m. Ross Aiken, dated March 12, 1969, to property owners <br />within the Purissima Drainage Basin re possible sewer assessment district. <br />The City Clerk noted this letter was authorized by the Council at its <br />February 24th meeting. <br />2) Calvin C. Flint, District Superintendent, Foothill Junior College District, <br />12345 E1 Monte Road, Los Altos Hills, dated March 6, 1969, replying to Mayor <br />Aiken's letter regarding problems created by increased utilization of Foothill <br />College Stadium. <br />3) Edward S. Arnold, Mayor of the City of Palo Alto, inviting Los Altos Hills <br />to share in Palo Alto's 75th Anniversary by submitting a parade entry. <br />City Clerk stated this communication would be referred to area horse <br />groups who might wish to participate in the parade. <br />4) Mrs, Florence M. Fava, 26691 Moody Road, dated March 5, 1969, requesting <br />Town officials keep in mind the reasons for incorporation to preserve the <br />land in approving new subdivisions. <br />5) John Sutter, President of People for Open Space, 126 Post Street, San <br />Francisco, dated February 1969, enclosing booklet "Case for Open Space in the <br />Bay Area". Commissioner Dawson was present to distribute copies to each <br />Councilman. <br />6) City Clerk read the following letters, noting all pertained to the horse <br />situation on Manuella and ensuing petition requesting limitations on the <br />number of animals maintained on agricultural property: <br />
