( SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1: KPGM cont'd.: <br />The Citizens Committee recommended approval of KPGM's 30' antenna, on the <br />basis of need and conformance to recommended policy, subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. KPGM shall submit detailed drawings reflecting the antenna as will be <br />finally installed and reflecting the aesthetic features of the model <br />erected for this Committee. Appendix B is a sketch of the antenna and <br />shall be used as a guide for the final drawings. <br />2. The pine trees surrounding the water tank on the Los Altos Hills side of <br />the structure be placed so as to make the antenna invisible in that <br />sector in the future. <br />3. Any transmitter housing or building be completely hidden by landscaping <br />at the time of construction. <br />4. Any resultant use permits be reviewed on a yearly basis for conformity <br />to these requirements. <br />S. The antenna be so painted or preserved as to match the surrounding <br />environment in color. <br />6. That all structures involved with the antenna be set back a minimum of <br />200 feet from the nearest adjoining property. <br />7. That the height of this antenna not require lighting of the antenna <br />system for aircraft warnings. <br />Council expressed their appreciation to Chairman McReynolds and the Committee <br />for a thorough, detailed and concise report, as well as their appreciation <br />to Mr. L. Gahagen, Co-General Manager of KPGM, for his most cooperative <br />approach to the Town. <br />Council discussion ensued concerning the subject report, with Floor partici- <br />pation by Mrs. J. G. Ronsiek, 13023 Vista del Valle Court, Mr. A. M. Laws, <br />11210 Hooper Lane, and Mr. L. Gahagen. <br />The following points were clarified during Council discussion: <br />1. Acceptance of the report would not affect the present Zoning Ordinance. <br />2. Requests for commercial antennas within the Town would not be affected <br />by this report since Town zoning precludes commercial operations. <br />3. Council requested Staff to determine possible application of guidelines <br />recommended by the Committee to private antennas. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Benson moved, seconded by Fowle <br />and carried unanimously, that the City Council recommend approval of the <br />Citizens Committee Report on KPGM and that said report be transmitted to <br />the Santa Clara County Planning Commission. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 2: <br />CONSIDERATION OF COUNTY BOND NEASUMiS A, B, AND C re: Mass transit, parks <br />and health facilities. <br />Staff report was presented noting Bond Measures A, B, and C to be considered <br />on the September 16, 1969 ballot included the following: <br />-3- <br />
