UNSCHEDULED ITEM NO, 4• <br />REQUEST FOR AN EXTENSION OF TIME FOR BAHR & LEDOYEN, INC. FOR GAS TAX <br />PROJECT NO. 22. <br />City Manager stated a ten (10) day extension was justified due to extra <br />roadway subgrade work and rain delay and recommended that the Town grant an <br />extra work order at a cost of approximately $38,000.00 for the extension of <br />Gas Tax Project No. 22 on Altamont Road, from Mt. Helen to Taaffe Road. <br />City Attorney stated this would constitute a change in the nature of the <br />project and recommended the proposed extra work be put out to bid. <br />MOTION, SECONDED AND CARRIED: Councilman Helgesson moved, seconded by Fowle <br />and carried unanimously, that an extension of fifteen (15) days to complete <br />Gas Tax Project No. 22 be approved, subject to the consent of the Bonding <br />Company. <br />SCHEDULED ITEM NO. 1• <br />PUBLIC HEARING RE HORSE AND STABLE ORDINANCE. <br />At 8:02 P. M., Deputy Mayor Benson declared the Public Hearing open and the <br />following spoke in opposition to the proposed ordinance: <br />Eugene Mehner, 26620 Purissima Road <br />Mr, and Mrs. Robert Munoz, 11360 Robleda <br />Mrs. Robert Cook, 14910 Page Mill Road <br />Florence Fava, 26691 Moody Road <br />Irma Goldsmith, 27330 Elena Road <br />Robert Clement, 27240 Altamont Road <br />Dr. Kay Bewley, 13470 Burke Road <br />Ray Whitley, 26944 Elena Road <br />Marilyn Long, 25720 Altamont Road <br />William Sauers, 26450 Anacapa Drive <br />Mrs, John Putz, 12650 Corte Madera Lane <br />David Bellucci, 26220 Moody Road <br />Bill Scharfen, 26792 Palo Hills Drive <br />A petition was presented purporting to have 300 signatures opposing the <br />proposed ordinance and proposing amendments to present ordinances to provide <br />comparable control and eliminate the annual licensing requirement for horses. <br />The following spoke in favor of the proposed ordinance: <br />Larry Watkins, 27200 Altamont Road <br />Bill Pierce, 14380 Manuella Road <br />G. Ferrari, 25800 Altamont Road <br />A. M. Laws, 11210 Hooper Lane <br />Planning Commissioner Don T. Hibner reviewed Committee development of the <br />proposed horse ordinance and discussed objectives of the ordinance. <br />Council discussion ensued, with Floor participation by the following: <br />Commission Chairman William A. Perkins <br />Frank Moses, 12849 Canario Way <br />Dr, Robert D. Monlux, County Health Department, San Jose <br />At 9:54 P.
