59 1) City Manager noted that the Santa Clara County Taxpayers Association's 4 Annual Meeting and Public Service Awards Banquet will be held Tuesday, April 16, 1S63 at San Jose. 2) City Manager noted that the Inter -City Council will meet Thursday, April 1963 at Santa Clara. 3) City Manager stated that upon request by the Council, Staff had determined that there are 313 existing residences in Sewer Assessment District io. 3. He further stat_d that 152 letters of protest were received at the Protest Hearing on March 28, 1968, representing 143 resid-ances. Therefore, 44.97% of the resident homeowners in District No. 3 protestedthe formation of the District, while 55.03% of the resident homeowners war& in favor of fornation of District No. 3. City Manager further noted that 32.95% of too land acreage in District Ho. 3 protested the formation of the District. MOTION: Councilman Davey -.coved that the Staff conduct a mailing to residents in Sewer Assessment District No. 3, giving a statistical breakdown on the residents in waver and against the District and giving a summary of Health Department information on failing septic systems, etc. Mo ion died for lack of a Second. MOTION SSCOIVDED r.ND CARRIED: Councilman Aiken moved, Seconded by Bowle, and carried unanimously by roll call vote that the Staff conduct a separat_ mailing to residents in Sewer Assessment District No. 3, at the sane time as the "ailing of the asscssnant Notice, giving a summary of statistical information relative to District No. 3 protests in regard to residences involved and land acreage involved, and also containing an announcement of the availability of Health Department findings in the Town Hall files.
