Bradley, State Senator, dated April 25, 1968, regarding motor <br />vehicle noises an.' legislation he has introduced to limit same. <br />,) Mayor %:io=n's reply to State Senator Bradley dated May 6, 1968, expressing <br />support for vehicl_ noise abatement legislation and offering to provide <br />Town represantatives to testify at the hearings in Sacramento. <br />5) Robert Swart, Jr., President, Los Altos Board of Realtors dated April 29, <br />1968, requesting the Council to proclaim May 19-25, 1968 as "Realtor reek';. <br />,tOTICN, SaCOHD3D '.ND CARRIED: Council:,pan Benson moved, seconded by Helgesson <br />and carried unanimously that the Council proclaim May 19-25, 1961 as <br />"Realtor Neek" in Los Altos Hills. <br />6) Loagie of California Cities dated April 12, 1968 announcing an Institute <br />for payors and Councilmen to be held in :Anaheim May 20, 1968. Councilmen <br />Benson and Helgesson indicated a desire to attend and Council unanimously <br />concurred tc._t the next Council meeting could be delayed until May 22, 190 <br />gtp alln; the attendance of interested Councilmen. <br />MOTION, AND CARRIED: Councilman Fowle moved, seconded by Benson, <br />twat th= Council authorize actual expenditures necessary to send two <br />Councilmen to the Special Institute in Anaheim on May 20, 1966, was carried <br />unanimously by roll call vote: Ayes: Councilmen Benson, Davey, Fowls, <br />Helgesson, Kayor Aiken. Noes: None. :absent: None. <br />7) Rev. Richard K. Meade, St. Nicholas Church, dated April 3, 1968, thanking <br />Council and City Manager for their efforts in making the safety of school <br />children possible. <br />8) John F. Lawler, President of County Social Planning Council, dated <br />�.pril 22, 1968, noting their support of legislation establishing a regional <br />center to serve the mentally retarded in Santa Clara County and three <br />neighboring Counties. <br />9) Mrs. Joan Pullen, Clerk of the County Board of Supervisors, dated <br />April 17, 1968, noting a vacancy on the Local Agency Formation Commission. <br />City Managor not -d this position was filled at the May 2nd Inter -City Council <br />meeting. <br />10) Pits.
