Peterson, 13851 iTemont Pines Lane, dated May 13, 1960, requesting <br />that a sewer line be extended beyond the property line in order to serve his <br />house and inquiring about the connection charges since this particular line <br />will flow into the Los Altos system. <br />City Manager noted that under the definition of units of bene4it in Sewer <br />Assessment District No, 3, the Town will pay Los Altos the appropriate connec- <br />tion fees. City Manager further noted that the basis for District No. 3 was <br />the following: 1) all properties could be served without pumping; and 2) a <br />lateral will be brought to all property lines. Staff recounended the Council <br />adhere to the above policy. <br />Mr. Peterson's request was denied due to a lack of affirmative action. <br />6) Copy of letter from Robin D. Faisanz, City Attorney, dated May 16, 1968, <br />to editor of Palo Alto Timgs re: legality of City Council Executive Sessions <br />concerning pending litigation. <br />7) Lois C. Hogle, 2000 Page Mill Road, Palo Alto, dated May 14, 1960, <br />commending Council for retaining the firm of William Spangle & Associates <br />as Town Planners. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS: <br />1) City Manager noted that the Planning Commission Study Session has been <br />deferred to Tuesday, May 28, 1963 to avoid conflict with the League of Women <br />Voters' Candidates Night on Monday, May 27, 1968. <br />4 PLANINING CCiBMISSION REFERRALS: <br />City Manager noted the Planning Commission had adopted three resolutions <br />recormiendi-ag the following: <br />1) The adoption of a Bike Route and Bicycle Path Plan. <br />2) The designation of a Subcommittee to consult with adjoining public <br />twdia, to inplement the Bikeway Plan. <br />3) That regulations prohibiting motorcycles, etc, on paths of all types <br />be enforced, <br />315 <br />317 <br />Council discussion ensued regarding prohibition of motordriven vehicles, with <br />Floor participation by Harold Schick, 26400 4oston Road; John Argall, 26631 <br />Snell Lane; Irna C, Goldsmith, 27330 Elena Road; Albert V. Smith, 261.30 +aston <br />Road; S, Samuels, 10300 Magdalena Road; David Janssen, 27440 Sherlock Road; <br />Mrs. D. Saviano, 12620 Corte Madera Lane, and Mrs. G. Ginzton, Vice -Chairman <br />of the Pattrvrays Comaittee. <br />Council directed Staff to agenda a public Nearing on the adoption of the <br />Bike Route and Bicycle Path Plan for the June 3rd meeting.. <br />Council appointed Harold Schick, Chairman of a Citizens' Committee to work <br />with the Staff concerning initiation and enforcement of an ordinance <br />regulwting notordriven vehicles on private property, <br />4W Mayor Aiken noted other committee members would be appointed later, including <br />citizens from the following problem areas: diston Road, Christopher's Lane, <br />Fremont Hills School, and the Little League property. <br />Council directed Staff to advise neighboring municipalities and school districts <br />of progress regarding motorcycle legislation. <br />-2- <br />
