t <br />Paan. Com. -Appointment, cont'd.. <br />It was decided that, in the interim, Mr. Alter shall continue to <br />serve on the Planning�Commissibn. _ <br />'Chairman Charles jR. Garbett - Planned Community Development. <br />Chairman Garbett, of the Planning Commission, reported that the owner <br />of the Adobe Creek Lodge property has requested consideration of a <br />proposed 'cluster development' of homesites for the property; that <br />the Planning Commission has reviewied preliminary plans which were <br />returned for a plan with fewer homes. <br />Councilmen expressed mutual assent relative to the conceptof'cluster - -- <br />development' under certain circumstances. They were generally agreed <br />on the use of two-thirds (2/3) acre minimum per homesite, maintain- <br />ing the required setbacks and one and one-half (lh) acre minimum <br />density for the subdivision. <br />Comment's in favor of the 'cluster development' for Adobe Creek Lodge <br />property were heard from Me_ssers. David Janssen, Don Spencer, and <br />R. J. Walsh. <br />Chairman Garbett expressed his gratitude to Coumcilmen for their <br />opinions which indicated that plan for cluster type development <br />of the Adobe Creek Lodge property would be favorably received.. <br />'Mr. David Bellucci and his representative, Mr. J. M. McGraw, of Wilsey, <br />0 Hame_and Blair, were given encouragement to proceed with plans. <br />OLD BUSINESS: <br />None. <br />NEW BUSINESS: ' <br />1. Fire Signs.: _ <br />-Councilman Henley suggested that, with the existing seasonal fire <br />hazards,; the Town should investigate the possibility of posting <br />warning signsnear -the entrances to the Town. <br />Following discussion of the type of sign desired, the City Clerk was <br />requested to report, at the next meeting, on the costs involved for <br />posting such -signs. <br />2. Select-StreetS,ystem. <br />Mr. George Cook, City Engineer, presented a report on the Select <br />Street System which replaces the Major City Street System, since the <br />passage of the Collier Unruh.Act of 1963. He explained the system by <br />which the"State will matchfunds expended by Cities, using Gas Tax <br />j Funds. <br />No action was taken, but the 'City Attorney was instructed to present <br />a resolution accepting the Select Street System at such time as the <br />Council is ready to consider approval of the system. <br />-2- <br />
