Green, 14840 Manuella Road Upon Councilman Fowle's assurance and Councilman Aiken's unrelinquishable statement that the rural character of the Town .and the road and trees will not change, the Mayor informed the audience there had been no communication from Palo Alto regarding this matter and that legally they had no authority over the property rights of Los.Altos Hills residents. In any event, the Council, in complete agree- . ment, assured the petitioners that the rural character of the Town will not change. In this respect, Councilman Bowler proposed the following resolution: RESOLVED, That it is the sense of the Council that the Town of Los Altos Hills will continue _ its present policy with respect to roads in the Town of Los Altos Hills, particularly with respect - to retaining the rural atmosphere of the roads and the preservation of trees along the roads; WHEREAS, and if the Council is approached by any neighboring municipality on the subject of widen- ing roads or changing traffic patterns, that it will hold public hearings before taking any action whatsoever upon such a request.
