NEW BUSINESS: <br />�) 1. Request for Stop Sign on Alto Verde Lane - J. P. Hartog. <br />Deputy Clerk read letter dated June 1, 1966 from Mr. J. P. <br />Hartog, 12795 Alto Verde Lane, requesting a stop sign at the <br />intersection of Alto Verde and Concepcion, and it was the <br />Deputy Clerk's recommendation that stop signs also be placed <br />on the other cul-de-sacs intersecting on Concepcion, namely, <br />Corte Madera and Roble Veneno. <br />Mr. K. Young, of the Law Enforcement Committee, stated there <br />had been one accident at this corner. <br />Mrs. E. L. Garwin, 12764 Alto Verde Lane, commented that <br />drivers automatically stop et this intersection and there was <br />no need to spend the money for a sign as she felt the trees <br />on the corner created a blind spot, as wellas at the inter- <br />section of Fremont and Concepcion. Mrs, R. L. Jones, 10791 <br />Magdalena,-�mentioned that such a situation had been corrected <br />on Magdalena by trimming the trees. <br />Council were of the opinion that reaction to stop signs on <br />the above mentioned cul-de-sacs should be received and that it <br />night be more productive to examine the tree situation before <br />installing any signs. <br />ACTION: <br />That Mr. J. F. Hartog's request for a stop sign <br />be tabled to the July 50 meeting and that the <br />alternate solution as discussed above be .explored <br />in the interim. <br />MOTION: Bowler; SECOND: Aiken; VOTE: Passed unanimously. <br />2. Request for Relocation of Fewer Pole, Tract No. 4180 - Macabee. <br />ACTI ON: <br />That the request of L. Cedric Macabee as stated <br />in his letter of June 6, 1966 for relocation of <br />power pole in Tract No. 4180 be granted. <br />MOTION: Towle; SECOND: Bowler; VOTE: Fassed unanimously. <br />3. A. Lambert - Request for Cost Sharing for Off -tract Under- <br />ground Electric on Altamont Road (Champagne Heights Subd.) <br />Deputy Clerk referred to Mr. Lamberts's letter dated <br />June 9, 1966. The City Attorney ruled it is not within the <br />power of the City Council to expend funds for this purpose, <br />{ except for governmental buildings. <br />-3- <br />
