Section 24. Roof Coverinas. <br />Roof coverings on all buildings shall be fire - <br />retardant, or any class C prepared or built-up <br />roofing, or cedar or redwood shakes and shingles <br />constructed in accordance with the requirements <br />of the Uniform Building Code Standard No. 32-14 <br />for special purpose roofs. Reroof of existing <br />structures must meet these standards. In addition, <br />standard approved fire place chimney spark arres- <br />tors shall be installed. <br />SECTION 8-8.07. DELETION OF APPENDIX J. <br />Appendix J entitled "An Ordinance Adopting A Uniform <br />Fire Code" is deleted from the Fire Code. <br />SECTION 8-8.08. VIOLATIONS AND PENALTIES. <br />(a) Any person, firm or corporation who shall violate <br />any of the provisions of the Fire Code or who <br />fails to comply therewith, or who shall violate <br />or fail to comply with any order made thereunder, <br />or who shall obstruct the operations of the fire <br />division in connection with extinguishing any <br />fire, or other emergency, or who disobeys any <br />lawful command of the Director of Public Safety <br />or other officer who may be in charge at such a <br />scene, or any part thereof, or who shall build <br />in violation of any detailed statement of speci- <br />fications or plans submitted and approved under <br />the Fire Code, or any certificate or permit <br />issued thereunder, and from which no appeal has <br />been taken, or who shall fail to comply with <br />such an order as affirmed or modified by the City <br />Council of the City of the Town of Los Altos <br />Hills, or by a court of competent jurisdiction, <br />within the time fixed herein, shall be deemed <br />guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction <br />SC <br />
