Excessive grading which results in accelerated erosion, <br /> sedimentation and runoff causing downstream flooding, ugly scars <br /> on which it is difficult to reestablish vegetation, alteration of <br /> the natural environment in such a manner as to be inconsistent with <br /> the basic ,aesthetic qualities. of the Town, the creation of cut and <br /> fill banks over which driveway accesses to lots are difficult to <br /> achieve; <br /> 2. Excessive removal of trees which results in loss of aesthetic <br /> value and modification of micro climates; and <br /> 3. The creation of lots which do not afford sites which pro- <br /> vide space suitable for the variety of uses normally associated <br /> with residential uses in the Town; <br /> and it further appearing that the moratorium imposed in Resolution <br /> No. 790 should be extended and continued for an additional period <br /> of eight (8) months to allow the completion of the studies described <br /> above, together with regulations affecting subdivisions and the <br /> preparation, consideration and adoption of such modifications of <br /> said regulations as may be deemed necessary and appropriate. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Town <br /> of Los Altos Hills that the moratorium upon the acceptance of <br /> applications for the division of land more particularly described <br /> in Resolution No. 790, adopted onJuly 3, 1974, be and the same <br /> hereby is ordered continued and extended for eight (8) months from <br /> and after November 4, 1974. <br /> * * * <br /> -2- <br />
