-2 - <br />Commissioner Williams, of the Manning Commission, represented <br />the Town at the meeting of January 150, 1958, but was not present <br />to report. <br />Further discussion was deferred. <br />REPORTS: <br />1. West Fremont Traffic Survey - City Clerk. <br />The City Clerk stated that the traffic survey report of West Fre- <br />mont Avenue had not been received from Mr. Kellogg, of the Calif. <br />State Automobile Association. The report will be given at the <br />next meeting. <br />2. Branch Post Office <br />- City Clerk. <br />The City Clerk reported that before a complete report can be given, <br />further information will have to be secured from the Regional Post- <br />al Office in San Francisco. The report will be given at the next <br />meeting. <br />3. In Lieu Tax - City Clerk. <br />It was reported that the In Lieu Tax and the Gas Tax are both <br />based specifically upon the population. <br />It was suggested by Deputy Mayor Rothwell that an investigation <br />should be made regarding the cost of having a census taken in the <br />Town of Los Altos Hills. <br />Mrs. Sugden reported that the Los altos Hills Association was in- <br />vestigating the feasability of a special census. <br />4. Automobile Registration - City Clerk. <br />It was reported that the Motor Vehicle Department has no objection <br />to the residents of the Town giving "Los Altos Hills" as their <br />address on Automobile Registrations. <br />5. Road and Drainage Fees - Committee. <br />The report of the meeting of January 132, 1958 of the Road and <br />Drainage Fees Committee, and its recommendations were read by <br />Councilman Fowle. <br />ACTION: <br />That the report of the Road and Drainage Fee Committee meeting <br />of January 13t, 1958 be accepted. <br />MOTION: Fowle; SrCOT?D: Bledsoe; VOTr: Passed unanimously <br />It was decided that each of the three (3) recommendations should <br />be considered independently. <br />
