Wilson - June 7, 1957• Request position of <br />Town on complaints regarding excavation business <br />being conducted on O'Keefe Lane. A copy of the <br />Town Attorney's letter (see below) will be sent to <br />Mr. Wilson. Letter referred to Town Attorney. <br />3. Gardner Bullis - June 9, 1957. Re: Alleged violation <br />of Zoning on O'Keefe Lane in Town of Los Altos Hills. <br />Copy of a letter addressed to Kenneth A. Johnson, <br />attorney, in regard to his client, Mr. Richard B. <br />Melton. Town Attorney Bullis had not received an <br />answer to a letter in which he requested a remedy to <br />the abuse and claimed violation on this property. <br />If such is not forthcoming, court action will be brought. <br />4. Clark L. Bt theradley - June 7, 1957. Assemblyman Bradley <br />ssstated thareferral of ACR 184 to an interim <br />committee on Conservation, Planning, and Public <br />Works was just a polite way of killing the resolution. <br />This resolution now places further consideration for <br />location of the Junipero Serra Freeway back on the <br />local level. <br />5. Joseph Salameda, Executive Secretary, Los Altos <br />Historica ssociation - June 6, 1957. Mr. Salameda <br />enclosed a copy of the first Annual Report of the Los <br />Altos Historical Association, and requested whether <br />Los Altos Hills was interested in becoming a member. <br />ACTION: <br />Town of Los Altos Hills take out a Life Membership <br />in the Los Altos Historical Association in the amount <br />of $25.00. Direct Deputy City Clerk to inform <br />Mr. Salameda of the Council's action. <br />Motion: Mayor Treat; Second: Fowle; Vote: Passed. <br />NEW BUSINESS: <br />1. Harry J. Goett - June 4, 1957, directed a letter to <br />The ounci regarding the basis for assessment in <br />proposed South E1 Monte Assessment District. Mr. <br />Goett suggested that the assessment district be <br />calculated on an acreage basis rather than a front -foot <br />basis, since benefits from such an improved road would <br />benefit the entire area and not just the property <br />owners abutting said road. Mr. Goett believes this <br />method would more properly distribute the cost in <br />proportion to the benefits. -2. <br />
