-2 - <br />This report requested the Torn of Los Altos Hills <br />share in a proposed City -County study of the major <br />highway system as it affects both the cities and the <br />%W unincorporated. areGs of Santa Clara County. Attached <br />financing plan estimated according; to population. Los <br />Altos Hills' share would be .55% of total cost of <br />$180,000.00, with the State contributing $60,000,00 <br />or 1/3, whichever is greater. <br />ACTION: <br />4, Move the Town of Los Altos Hills participate in <br />the City -County Study of Major Highway Systems <br />as proposed, and the Town's share of the cost not to <br />exceed ;1,000.00. <br />Motion: Fowle; Second: Bledsoe; Vote: Passed <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Acting Mayor Rothwell., Councilmen <br />Bledsoe, Fowle, Hoefler. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSENT: Mayor Treat. <br />City Clerk, H.G. Paulman, will address a letter to <br />the committee in charge of this study stating the <br />Council's action. <br />AGENDA: <br />1. Resolution4444 - Arpointment of Paul W. Salfen as <br />Deputy City Clerk. <br />ACTION: <br />Move adoption of Resolution #44 appointing Paul W. <br />Salfen, Deputy City Clerk in case of City Clerk's <br />absence or illness. <br />Motion: Rothwell; second: Bledsoe;Vote: Passed. <br />2. Re ort from Road Committee on Condition of Magdalena - <br />Petition Pending for T11ree-Ton Limit on Magdalena. <br />Don T. Hibner, Road Commissioner, gave a report <br />outlining the reasons for the poor condition of the <br />road on Magdalena. The road base and surface are <br />inadequate as the road was built on non-absorbant <br />soil. Poor drainage facilities and storm waters <br />crossing road are not properly channeled. Mr. Hibner's <br />opinion is that if truck traffic continues on this <br />road, it will continues rapidly to break up. <br />-2- <br />
