Ln <br />Mayor Treat advised that he will call a study session <br />with the planning commission to meet the fast develop- <br />ment of the Town of Los Altos Hills, and that he would <br />advise the council of such meeting. <br />A letter from the city attorney to Mayor Treat was <br />RESOL. N0. 40 <br />read in which he advised that the referendum election <br />RESCINDING <br />on Ordinance No. 19 could not be held for six months. <br />SPECIAL ELECTION <br />The mayor recommended that decision be postponed <br />future <br />DATE OF <br />1/22/57 <br />until the next meeting to set a date for elec.6 <br />tion. Councilman Bledsoe introduced R solution No. <br />1 rescinding the action of the council heretofore <br />taken in deciding to call an election and fixing <br />the date of January 22, 1957, with reference thereto <br />in connection with the referendum petition relating <br />to Subdivision Ordinance No. 19. Was seconded by <br />Councilman Rothwell and carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bledsoe, Dungan, Fowles <br />Rothwell, Mayor Treat <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />It was moved by Councilman Bledsoe, seconded by <br />Councilman Fowle that action be deferred in regard <br />to setting a date of election until Wednesday, <br />December 12, 1956, and wad carried by voice vote. <br />Resolution No. 38 was presented by Councilman Roth- RESOL. NO. 38 <br />well stating rein that the Town of Los Altos APPLICATION FOR <br />Hills will hold a hearing on said franchise for FRANCHISE FOR <br />the distribution of gas within the limits of the PACIFIC GAS & <br />Town of Los Altos Hills and that the intention be ELECTRIC CO. <br />inserted in the Los Altos News and one issue of ON GAS <br />the Palo Alto Times. Was seconded by Councilman <br />Fowle and carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Councilmen Bledsoe, Dungan, Fowles <br />Rothwell, Mayor Treat <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />Resolution No. 39 was presented by Councilman Roth- RESOL, N0. 39 <br />well stating therein that the Town of Los Altos APPLICATION FOF <br />Hills will hold a hearing on said franchise for FRANCHISE FOR <br />the distribution of electricity within the limits of PACIFIC GAS & <br />the Town of Los Altos Hills and that the intention be ELECTRIC CO. <br />inserted in the Los Altos News and one issue of ON ELECTRICITY <br />COUNCIL MINUTE: <br />- 3 - 12/1/56 <br />
